Our heritage winery is an adobe building that dates
approximately from 1870. In the context of the Itata Valley, it is one of the few wineries that has managed to conserve a large part of its architectural and wine heritage, tangible and intangible.
Here, natural wines continue to be crafted in the most authentic Chilean style. The protagonists are the monumental raulí vats, where our wines are kept for a year. The raulí wood as a native Chilean tree, makes our wines something unique in the world.
For Viña Prado, it is a priority to safeguard the wine heritage from material and social deterioration, for this reason, careful work was carried out to repair and restore the adobe structure severely damaged by the latest earthquakes. For its restoration, traditional construction techniques were used.
